Caritrack IoT & B2B Academy, Promoting Digital Transformation
The Apple AirTag was introduced to the market in April 2021. This device is very useful for locating missing objects such as keys, bags, purses, wallets etc.
This technology is an application of Bluetooth for Industry called Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 4.0 and above. In technical jargon, the device is called a beacon because it emits an ID number number electronically every few seconds so that a receiver such as an iPhone can detect it.
Please view the YouTube videos above that demonstrates how this technology can be used by bad actors to steal cars. The technology was not developed by Apple for that purpose but as with any tool, it can be used for good or bad.
Caritrack’s Internet of Things (IoT) and Business to Business (B2B) Academy was developed to offer Technical and Vocational training so that persons can use modern technology to improve personal security and protect their vehicles, laptops and other important assets. Business minded individuals can learn new skills and start their own businesses in an environment of mentorship and technology support from professionals.
In our world, Digital Transformation is not only talk… it is walking the talk. We have been operating as a private network of small businesses since 2007, without any help from Government or public institutions. Bootstrapping, self-help and cooperative work has taught us to work, learn together and be resilient. We have extended our reach at an embryonic stage from Trinidad & Tobago to Jamaica, Barbados and few countries in Europe and Africa.
Through strategic partnerships with IoT companies such as Navixy, Teltonika Telematics, Teltonika Mobility, Teltonika Networks, Teltonika Energy, ELA Innovation and 1oT, we hope to offer ICT services to the Caribbean and beyond.
